The Stress of a Soldier (2016) - World War II Short Film

Date Aired: May 30th, 2016

A short film project for my AQ World History class.

An American soldier named Rockie Blunt has finally arrived home after fighting in World War II for over 2 years. However, he is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, due to the horrifying things he has witnessed, such as battles, deaths, destruction, and most notably, Nazi concentration camps.

The main character, Roscoe C. "Rockie" Blunt Jr., is based off of a real American soldier of the same name. Like in this film, he was an infantry soldier who encountered many dying prisoners of Nazi concentration camps. Click here to see a video of Rockie talking about his experience of liberating the concentration camps.
